 Beds were lumpy and obviously old. Shower didn't run hot. Heating proved difficult to operate. People could be heard walking and talking in room above to an unacceptable extent-deafening obviously under parr. |
Overall: Hotel is obviously in the process of being revamped - and it needs it! Booking in in smokey bar not pleasant |

 shower hose needed re-attaching securely - I did it, and over-basin light did not work. Neither problem serious . |
Overall: The geniality of the owner was refreshing from the outset, and ensured that any problems (there were scarcely any) paled into insignificance. |

Overall: It is an excellent hotel in a quiet small town. The restaurant in the hotel was very convenient. There was also a small pub in the hotel. The room included a bath and shower plus normal amenities. I will definitely be using this hotel in the future. |

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
How do I add a rating?
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
How do you manage to collect so many ratings?
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
